Terms & Contditions (T&C) for sled dog tours

1. Contracting Party

2. Service Description

Camp Thrymheim offers guided dog sled tours of varying durations (from hourly to multi-day expeditions) in the Härjedalen region of Sweden. Tours are available only from December through April. Detailed information on each tour, including requirements, can be found on the website.

3. Participation Requirements

  • Minimum number of participants: 2
  • Maximum number of participants: 4
  • Requirements such as minimum age and physical condition vary by tour and are described on the website.
  • Participation is at the guest’s own risk.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Prices vary depending on the tour type and number of participants and are listed on the website.
  • A 20% deposit is due within 10 days of booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid by bank transfer prior to arrival.
  • The booking becomes binding upon receipt of the deposit.

5. Cancellation and Rebooking by the Customer

5.1. The customer may cancel the tour at any time prior to the start date. Cancellation should be made in writing.

5.2. The following flat-rate cancellation fees apply (as a percentage of the total tour price):

  • Up to 30 days before tour start: 20%
  • 29 to 15 days before tour start: 50%
  • From 14 days before tour start or in case of no-show: 80%

Customers are free to prove that no or significantly less damage has occurred. The organizer reserves the right to claim higher, individually calculated compensation in specific cases.

5.3. Rebookings (e.g., changes to dates) are free of charge if made up to 30 days before the tour and if alternative dates are available. After that, changes are only possible through cancellation and a new booking.

5.4. Customers may name a replacement person up to the tour start date. The organizer reserves the right to reject this person if they do not meet the requirements of the tour or if legal or logistical reasons prevent participation. The original customer and the replacement are jointly liable for the full price and any additional costs incurred.

6. Cancellation by the Organizer

The organizer may cancel the tour if:

  • the minimum number of participants is not reached,
  • severe weather or force majeure makes it unsafe or impossible to proceed,
  • the guide is unable to lead the tour (e.g., illness) and no substitute is available.

In these cases, the full amount paid will be refunded. Further claims are excluded.

7. Equipment and Safety

  • Guests must bring their own winter clothing.
  • Overalls, winter boots, and sleeping bags can be rented on-site (subject to availability and pricing listed on the website).
  • Basic safety instructions will be provided at the start of each tour.
  • Participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.

8. Liability

  • Participation is at the guest’s own risk.
  • Camp Thrymheim holds business liability insurance.
  • The organizer is not liable for damages resulting from participant negligence or disregard of safety instructions.

9. Data Privacy

  • Personal data is collected solely for tour administration and customer communication.
  • Data is stored internally and never shared with third parties.
  • Data handling complies with Swedish data protection laws (Dataskyddsförordningen/GDPR).

10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

Swedish law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Härjedalen, to the extent legally permitted.

1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to all rental agreements between the provider (lessor) and the tenant for the holiday home in Lillhärdal, Sweden.


2. Booking and Contract Conclusion

Booking is made via the provider’s website.
A binding rental agreement is concluded once the deposit (20% of the total rent) has been received within 10 days of booking.


3. Payment

  • Deposit: 20% of the total amount within 10 days of booking
  • Final payment: due at the latest 7 days before arrival
  • Payment methods: bank transfer, PayPal, Swish
  • No security deposit is required.

4. Services and Prices

Included in the rental price:

  • Use of the house for up to 6 people
  • Electricity, water, heating
  • Bed linen and towels

Final cleaning is not included in the price but can be booked for an additional fee. Otherwise, the guest is responsible for cleaning the house before departure.


5. Cancellation Policy

  • The deposit is non-refundable.
  • The final payment can be refunded if the booking is cancelled at least 30 days before arrival.
  • No refund is given for late cancellations, no-shows, or early departures.

6. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in: from 3:00 p.m.
  • Check-out: by 10:00 a.m.
  • Keys will be handed over on site. No special arrangements apply.

7. Use of the Holiday Home

  • Maximum occupancy: 6 persons
  • Pets are allowed.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside the house but permitted on the property.
  • The guest is obliged to treat the property with care and leave it clean (unless cleaning has been booked).
  • The guest must report any damage caused and cover the cost of repair or replacement.

8. Liability

  • The provider is liable for wear-and-tear damages from normal use.
  • The guest is liable for all damage caused by themselves or their party.
  • The provider accepts no liability for events of force majeure, natural disasters, or utility outages beyond their control.

9. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

Swedish law applies exclusively.
The place of jurisdiction is Härjedalen, Sweden, insofar as legally permitted.


10. Severability Clause

Should any provision of these T&C be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. An appropriate substitute regulation will apply.
