Tour description:
Day 1: Upon arrival, you will get to know the Greenland dogs. In the evening, we will have dinner together and discuss the schedule for the coming days.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, we will harness the dog teams together and take our first ride. Each day, the duration and distance depend on the participants’ preferences and current weather conditions, typically ranging from 2 to 5 hours. Lunch provisions can be prepared during breakfast. By late afternoon, we return to the camp and prepare for the evening. Dinner is enjoyed together – either in the warm cabin or outside by the campfire. Every night, we stay at Camp Thrymheim, where you have the comfort of hot showers, warm water, a heated cabin, comfortable beds, electricity, and toilets.
Day 3: The day unfolds similarly to Day 2. We explore new trails with our sled dogs and take on new challenges.
Day 4: A rest day for both humans and dogs. This day is dedicated to relaxation and recovery. A heated outdoor bath awaits you – take the time to unwind and process your experiences. If you wish, you can take a walk through the beautiful nature or visit the nearby village.
Day 5: As on Days 2 and 3, we travel with the dogs along the surrounding trails. With a bit of luck, we might spot moose or reindeer. Based on the experience gained in the first few days, the group can choose a suitable tour length.
Day 6: Today is the last day of sledding with the dogs. We take in the breathtaking landscape one last time as we glide along the trails. In the evening, we gather for a farewell dinner to reflect on the experiences of the week.
Day 7: Departure day. After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the dogs before leaving.
Meals are adjusted to the needs of the day/tour and are hearty. We serve salmon, beef, elk, and reindeer among other things. Vegetarian or vegan meals are also available. Please let us know your diet preferences as well as any food intolerances when you book the tour. Once we are on tour, it is not possible to adjust the meal plan.

Tour description:
Day 1: After your arrival at the camp, you will meet your dog team. The sled dogs will be full of energy and ready for the adventure. In the evening, we enjoy a shared meal while discussing the upcoming days.
Day 2: After breakfast, we will prepare the dogs and equipment together. Today, we start our first tour with the sled dogs and get used to handling the sled. The day’s route takes us through snowy forests and wide plains. In the afternoon, we return to camp where we warm up and end the day with a cozy dinner.
Day 3: We start early in the day and head out with the dogs for a longer tour. Today, we leave the main camp and travel deeper into the Swedish Fjäll. We will spend the night in a simple shelter or grill hut in the mountains. Upon arrival, we set up our camp, fetch water, and light a fire for warmth and dinner. Depending on preference, you can sleep under cover or in the open air. Sleeping pads and tarps will be provided.
Day 4: After a night in the wilderness, we continue our journey. The route takes us above the treeline, across vast plateaus of endless snowy fields. Depending on weather and snow conditions, we may adjust the route. Sudden storms or heavy snowfall are unpredictable and not unusual. In the evening, we reach our next camp where we care for the dogs and prepare for the night.
Day 5: Today, we slowly head back towards the main camp. The ride is about 4-5 hours. We enjoy the breathtaking landscape and revel in the special bond now formed between yourself and the dogs formed by shared experiences. In the afternoon, we return to camp where we indulge in a warm shower and a relaxed dinner.
Day 6: This day is dedicated to wrapping up and relaxation. After breakfast, we care for the dogs and make sure they are well, before relaxing in the heated hot tub. It is especially important to us that each participant has the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and that we share our journey together.
Day 7: Departure day. Time to say goodbye to your dog team before heading back to civilization.
